About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This is a contract position with specific details regarding shifts, pay, and requirements. The role involves performing a wide range of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and initiative in patient care and diagnostic facilitation. Responsibilities may include supervision or instruction, maintaining infection control, patient confidentiality, and operating various computer systems and equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 Years X-Ray and current MAMMOGRAPHY experience
  • Excellent patient care skills.
  • Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography
  • ARRT (R) Certification is required
  • Must have active American Registration of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (M) Certification
  • Must have Massachusetts license
  • Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

  • Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
  • Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
  • May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
  • Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
  • May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
  • Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications.
  • Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
  • Maintains department competencies as required.
