About The Position

Performs breast imaging (screenings and diagnostics) in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This role is part of the Allied Health team, which is among the fastest growing occupations in healthcare today. These professionals perform supportive, diagnostic, and therapeutic health care services to promote health and prevent disease in a variety of settings. Requirements

1 Year of Mammography experience.
LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job.
Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based.
Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate radiology services in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

Responsibilities

Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
Provides appropriate Mammography screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
Executes job responsibilities with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other areas related to own job area/team with occasional guidance.
Analyzes moderately complex problems using technical experience and judgment.
