About The Position

In this role you will schedule, confirm, and coordinate mammography and breast imaging appointments. You will greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner, verify patient demographic and insurance information, and maintain and update patient medical records and imaging documentation. You will also answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly, coordinate with radiologists, technologists, physicians’ offices, and other hospital departments, and obtain prior imaging records and ensure comparison films/images are available when needed. Additionally, you will prepare and distribute reports, correspondence, and patient notifications, monitor and maintain office supplies and department forms, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital confidentiality policies. You will also assist with patient recalls, follow-up appointments, and reminder communications, support quality assurance initiatives and departmental accreditation requirements, and perform general clerical duties including filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry. Requirements

  • Associate degree in business management/administration preferred
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Advanced medical terminology course work preferred
  • Experience with CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding preferred
