About The Position

The Makeup Artist is part of a team responsible for preparing Fox News anchors, reporters, and contributors to appear on television. The role requires proficiency in makeup artistry for men and women, the ability to work quickly, and an understanding of the pace of cable television news. The artist provides a professional, friendly experience for talent and visitors while maintaining a clean, well-stocked makeup room and collaborating with other artists. Schedules may need to change, including starting earlier or working later than planned, to meet the needs of a news bureau responding to breaking news.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability in television makeup for both men and women.
At least 1–2 years of experience in hair and makeup for television news.
Meticulous and careful work, with a very high personal standard of excellence.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to maintain highly professional behavior as a representative of Fox News Media.
Promptness and dependability.

Responsibilities

Apply makeup appropriate for television to men and women, often quickly and with a high level of skill.
Provide excellent customer service and a friendly, helpful demeanor to visiting talent and staff.
Use good judgment to solve problems, identify potential problems in advance, and propose solutions.
Help other artists prepare talent for air and share responsibility for maintaining the makeup room.
Keep the makeup room and personal workspace clean, tidy, and free of clutter.
Identify products that need replenishing and help ensure supplies are well stocked.
Adjust scheduled work hours, including working earlier or later than planned, to accommodate breaking news needs.
