The Coe Student Innovation Center (CSIC) is seeking enthusiastic, creative student innovators to help run our makerspace lab and support day-to-day CSIC operations. This part-time position is expected to be well-versed in 3D printing equipment, modeling software, electronic teaching kits, circuitry, and robotics after training. The role involves participating in the deployment of policies and procedures for Makerspace access and usage, departmental programs, and safety procedures. Makerspace Aides are expected to maintain and repair makerspace equipment. Under the direction of the Makerspace Coordinator, the Makerspace Aide may provide instructional assistance to faculty, students, and community members. In the absence of the Makerspace Coordinator, Aides will be responsible for afternoon and evening operation of the lab. Training will be provided, but experience in areas such as 3D printing, modeling, scanning, robotics, electronics, coding, STEAM lesson plan development, or academic outreach is ideal. The position requires a highly motivated, energetic candidate with attention to detail.
