Make-Up Inspection Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Requirements
- Basic reading, writing and math skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak basic English
- Reliable transportation required
- Pre-employment physical, drug screen & background check required
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Proven work experience in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with the use of fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work; ability to lift or move at least 40 lbs.
- Positive and team-work focused attitude. Must work well with others.
- Good attendance record
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Operator responsible for preparing and inspecting fabric batch rolls.
- Performs inspection of fabric rolls and is the primary quality control check on all incoming fabric.
- Knows and follows inspection procedures to properly record all defects on fabric rolls and documents either acceptance or rejection of rolls. Removes rejected yardage from batch rolls during makeup operation.
- Fills out all associated paperwork with regards to Makeup/Inspection and submits to Inspection/Batching Manager for review and approval.
- Moves completed rolls to the decking area for use by Coating Department.
- Is responsible for the correct operation of the Makeup Machines to maintain productivity.
- Ensures that a Safe, Clean, and Healthy work environment is always maintained.
