Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Must be able to read, write and speak basic English
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Pre-employment physical, drug screen & background check required

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Proven work experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with the use of fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work; ability to lift or move at least 40 lbs.
  • Positive and team-work focused attitude. Must work well with others.
  • Good attendance record
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Operator responsible for preparing and inspecting fabric batch rolls.
  • Performs inspection of fabric rolls and is the primary quality control check on all incoming fabric.
  • Knows and follows inspection procedures to properly record all defects on fabric rolls and documents either acceptance or rejection of rolls. Removes rejected yardage from batch rolls during makeup operation.
  • Fills out all associated paperwork with regards to Makeup/Inspection and submits to Inspection/Batching Manager for review and approval.
  • Moves completed rolls to the decking area for use by Coating Department.
  • Is responsible for the correct operation of the Makeup Machines to maintain productivity.
  • Ensures that a Safe, Clean, and Healthy work environment is always maintained.
