About The Position

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) is seeking a Machine Operator for its foundry facility. This role involves operating various types of equipment, including CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual lathes, and Wire EDM machines. The operator will be responsible for setting up and running parts, performing periodic quality checks, and using precision measuring instruments. BCT is a growing company known for its innovation and commitment to its employees.

Requirements

Able to make minor adjustments to programs and offsets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and detail oriented.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to read and comprehend part documentation (blueprints, tolerances, inspection criteria).
Mechanical aptitude (working with hand tools, pneumatic tools, following work instructions for disassembling and reassembling various types of process equipment).
Able to use calipers and a tape measure, and required precision measuring instruments.
Able to set up and run parts completely while doing periodic quality checks.

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience working with large machinery or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Perform all required maintenance for machines.
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools.
Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences.
Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts.
Able to layout features on material using drawings.
Able to be self-motivated and stay organized.
Other duties as assigned to support the needs of the department.
