About The Position

The Major Equipment Clerk position is located in Meaford at the Army Training Centre – Central and typically reports directly to the Stores Supervisor. The Major Equipment Clerk manages the receipt, issuance, and tracking of equipment and materials, ensures accurate data entry, supports shipping/receiving, and maintains compliance with safety and organizational policies. They also handle serial number tracking and assist with special inventory projects. This is a full time 6- month contract with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
  • Must possess serviceable steel toe safety boots that meet standards for workplace safety
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DND policies and procedures
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • Receive, issue, and verify EMOs and EIS documentation
  • Complete deviation records and temporary loan documentation
  • Support vehicle loading/unloading and perform data entry in DRMIS
  • Record, issue, and manage CADC sales for equipment
  • Monitor and control SLOCs with serial-controlled items
  • Manage CFR files, ensuring all relevant parties and individuals are communicated with in a timely manner
  • Provide backup support for shipping and receiving operations.
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Follows all Health and Safety requirements including wearing all mandatory personal protective equipment and participating the any Health and Safety training that is required
