About The Position

The Maintenance Technician provides for the proper care of campgrounds and other recreation areas by maintaining grounds and facilities. The role works under the direct supervision of the manager assigned to the area and includes general facility, grounds, and equipment maintenance, as well as keeping recreation areas clean and providing courteous service to visitors. This is a 2027 seasonal position in the Evanston-Mountain View District, with weekly schedules arranged with local management.

Requirements

• Possess basic mechanical skills and facility maintenance abilities.
• Be familiar with, or willing to become familiar with, company and partnering agency policies and guidelines.
• Be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak visitation periods.
• Work with minimal supervision, learn quickly, and follow instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance tasks in assigned areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, mowing, weed trimming, cleaning, landscaping, and facility repairs.
• Maintain and service equipment, keeping company equipment in operable and safe working condition.
• Pick up trash throughout recreation areas, roadsides, and campgrounds.
• Keep trash barrels emptied and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Inform the supervisor about maintenance and facility needs and necessary supply levels.
• Assist hosts with miscellaneous duties as they arise.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to customers and visitors.
