About The Position

The Maintenance Technician provides proper care of campgrounds and other recreation-use areas by maintaining grounds and facilities. The role works under the direct supervision of the manager assigned to the area. Duties include general facility and grounds maintenance, equipment servicing, trash collection, reporting maintenance and supply needs, and assisting campground hosts. This is a seasonal position with multiple openings across campgrounds in the Ogden District for the 2027 season.

Requirements

• Possess basic mechanical skills and facility maintenance abilities.
• Be familiar with, or willing to become familiar with, company and partnering agency policies and guidelines.
• Be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak visitation periods.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision, learn quickly, and follow instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, mowing, weed trimming, cleaning, landscaping, and facility repairs in assigned areas.
• Maintain and service equipment and keep company equipment operable and safe.
• Pick up trash throughout recreation areas, roadsides, and campgrounds.
• Keep trash barrels emptied and the surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Inform the supervisor of maintenance and facility needs and required supply levels.
• Assist hosts with miscellaneous duties as they arise.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to customers and visitors.
