About The Position

Safely and effectively perform maintenance repair in the rendering plant and facility in a safe and efficient manner as directed by the supervisor. M-F 5am-1:30 pm; Occasional weekends. Please see our website for more information regarding Baker Commodities, Inc. www.bakercommodities.com

Requirements

Previous experience in industrial maintenance/repair and welding
High school diploma or equivalent
Less than 5% travel requirement

Nice To Haves

operate powered industrial vehicles including fork trucks of manlifts
Work in confined spaces; Must be able to position self to perform duties around industrial equipment and materials

Responsibilities

Perform welding and cutting on steel, stainless steel and aluminum
Must be familiar with safe work practices including but not limited to, lock out tag out, confined space entry, ladder and climbing safety, hot works, etc.
Repair pipefitting and plumbing
Repair and replace motors and gear drives
Repair, rebuild and replace pumps
Repair high pressure hydraulics, compressed air and steam systems
Perform general cleaning and painting
Lift, move and rig heavy/awkward equipment
Repair, maintain and assist in the operations of waste water, air pollution systems and feed department
Must be able to works occasional Saturdays and Sundays.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspection.
Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
Follow department and company procedures
Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company
