Maintenance - Level I
About The Position
ELS is hiring a Maintenance Worker, Level I, in Brooksville, Florida. The role performs a range of maintenance duties, including light appliance repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, and janitorial work. Working as part of a team, the Maintenance Worker helps ensure the community meets ELS’s quality maintenance standards. The position requires maintaining amenity spaces and grounds, coordinating with management and staff, attending morning staff meetings, reporting maintenance concerns, and completing repairs. The worker monitors maintenance inventory and supplies, may drive maintenance trucks around the property, and must be willing to respond to after-hours emergencies while on call.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
- Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure amenity spaces are well maintained and working properly.
- Maintain grounds and keep them free from trash and debris.
- Work with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
- Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with maintenance workers, management, and staff, and collaborate on special maintenance projects.
- Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
- Move heavy objects and, when needed, drive maintenance trucks to locations on the property.
- Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Be available on call for emergencies that arise after hours.
