About The Position
ELS is hiring a Maintenance - Level I in Rockledge, Florida. The Maintenance Worker performs varied maintenance duties requiring technical labor skills, including light carpentry and construction, plumbing, groundskeeping, and related work. Working with the Maintenance Supervisor and as part of the team, the role helps ensure the community meets ELS quality maintenance standards. The position involves maintaining a clean, safe, and appealing property, performing repairs, and supporting maintenance projects. The worker may need to move heavy objects, drive maintenance trucks around the property, work outside in the elements, and respond to after-hours emergencies while on call.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outside in the elements.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies and work weekends.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
- Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily required work.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with maintenance workers, management, and staff, and collaborate on special maintenance projects.
- Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris.
- Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
- Conduct irrigation system repairs.
- Move heavy objects and, as needed, drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property.
- Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
