About The Position

ELS is hiring a Maintenance - Level I in Venice, Florida. The Maintenance Worker performs a range of maintenance duties to help ensure the community meets ELS quality maintenance standards. Duties include light appliance repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, and janitorial work. The position involves working as part of a team, maintaining amenity spaces and grounds, communicating with management and coworkers, and supporting special maintenance projects. The worker may need to move heavy objects and drive maintenance trucks around the property, and must be willing to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

Ensure amenity spaces are well maintained and working properly.
Maintain grounds and keep them free from trash and debris.
Work with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work.
Communicate regularly and professionally with maintenance workers, management, and staff, and collaborate on special maintenance projects.
Report maintenance concerns to management and perform repairs.
Move heavy objects and, as needed, drive maintenance trucks to locations around the property.
Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
