About The Position

This position is responsible for performing general maintenance of grounds and facilities. Duties include overseeing citizens and contractors during the disposal or recycling of collected materials, operating heavy equipment, completing cashiering functions, responding to customer inquiries, and monitoring community recycling centers. All tasks must be performed safely, efficiently, and with a positive attitude, as safety is the top priority. Additional duties may be assigned, and other work as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Basic computer and cashiering skills
Accurate recordkeeping
Must be able to work in all weather conditions
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Current valid driver’s license and good driving record
Driver's record must not reflect a total accumulation of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months (based on Virginia DMV point system)
Out of state records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview
Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date
Pre-employment drug testing required
FBI criminal background check required
Education/degree verification required
Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment
