About The Position

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the PT Seasonal Maintenance Worker will provide support for town events, assist in the oversight of operations of the park and open play rentals, assist staff with the completion of work orders, inspection and service and cleaning of parks, greenways, and park facilities, landscaping duties, sports field maintenance. This position may perform other various field assignments as required within the scope of this classification. This opportunity provides individuals with experience in landscaping, park maintenance, and horticulture with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience during the summer months through first-hand observation of the operation and organization of a local government parks maintenance division. Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, application instructions, etc.

• Ability to safely operate or use equipment, tools, and cleaning supplies for the assigned duties.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and various types of landscaping equipment.

• Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
