Located just off the 401 hwy, it features 2 meeting rooms, the Bistro restaurant and a heated pool with a 100-ft water slide. Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is looking for someone who is friendly and hospitality-focused to join our team as a Maintenance Worker!

Requirements

Basic reading, writing and math abilities.
1+ year(s) of general building maintenance and repair experience.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools.

Nice To Haves

Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

Performing general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
Completing minor work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen, and laundry equipment, etc.
Monitoring the efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guests’ entrance/access doors, television sets, and lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure proper operation and maximum efficiency.
Maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool, and exercise/sports facilities (including property signs and lighting)
Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Performing functions with minimal supervision.
