About The Position

The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision. This role is crucial in maintaining the hospital's facilities to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions.
Must have experience in the area of building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have complete knowledge of physical plant within two weeks of hire.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Two years of technical or trade school preferred

Responsibilities

Performs all tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, preventive maintenance, and tests and inspections of the hospital.
Clean and change air filters, kitchen grease traps and stove hood filters.
Dispose of infectious/contaminated waste from the hospital.
Maintain hospital grounds in a neat and attractive appearance.
Maintain all light fixtures in good working condition and change light bulbs as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance electrical test as well as the removal, installation, and repair of all mechanical/electrical equipment.
Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and safety/risk management plans policies and procedures.
