About The Position

MUST HAVE VALID DL Fixing/Repairing/Replacing plumbing issues (toilets, sinks, shower heads, drains, pop-up, diverters, replace pipes, replace faucets, toilet seats, installing/repairing/replacing hot water heater overflow tubes, installing bathroom grab bars, installing/repairing towel bars/toilet roll holders, water lines from toilet to wall, etc.) Replacing light bulbs, replacing gfi’s, swapping out light fixtures Adjusting locks, replacing door locks Handling weather stripping, replacing and/or repairing gaps at storm doors/front doors re weather stripping or with door thresholds Replacing storm doors and or front doors Test smoke detectors, replace smoke detectors, replace smoke detector batteries, Check alarms, such as smoke detectors, etc. Handling troubleshooting needs in regards to repairs of refrigerators and other appliances, plumbing issues. Changing out light switch and outlet plates Will be handling any repairs needing in the apartments as well as other areas of the facility Replacing/repairing bi-fold closet doors and shelving Replacing/repairing window blinds or installing curtain brackets Replace/tighten loose knobs/hinges Repairing loose porch railings Repairing gutters (loose, dripping, clearing out debris) Clean A/C Vents and Filter Drywall/Plaster patch repair holes in wall Replacing appliances (fridge, stove, range hood, hood range grease filters, in-wall A/C units, floor heaters) Clean out dryer vent lint from outside apartment vents Cover/UnCover A/C unit covers (at Spring and Fall) Knowledge of hand and power tools Operating a company vehicle (truck or van) if needed, operating lawn tractor, snow blower, ice melt dispenser Assisting in SSV2 Maintenance if needed. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2-3 YEARS OF WORK-RELATED INDOOR MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE – SUCH AS IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX, HOTEL MAINTENANCE, OR RETIREMENT COMPLEX
  • Proficient Plumbing experience
  • Proficient Electrical experience
  • Basic Carpentry Experience
  • Must be able to lift/move heavy appliances, doors, items
  • Excellent attendance is a must
  • Must be a Self-Starter and energetic
  • Strong Work History
  • Dependable
  • The ability to stand for the majority of the shift
  • Potential hazard exposures may include: heavy lifting, performing awkward or strenuous movements, extreme temperatures, buts or abrasions from using hand tools.

Responsibilities
