About The Position

Maravilla Santa Barbara is hiring a full-time Maintenance Worker for its upscale retirement living community. The role handles resident repair requests, apartment make-readies, preventative maintenance, emergency response, and upkeep of the grounds and common areas. The anticipated pay rate is $23 to $25 per hour. Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Good customer service and communication skills when interacting with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders, including plumbing leaks, appliance repairs, and electrical issues.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new renters by painting, cleaning, and completing repairs.
• Inspect building systems, HVAC filters, lighting, and common areas to help prevent breakdowns.
• Respond to urgent after-hours issues such as gas leaks, major water breaks, and electrical failures.
• Maintain the property's appearance and clear walkways.
• Follow safety practices and applicable building codes.
