About The Position

Responsible for completing various maintenance and cleaning tasks as described by each particular building location/assignment. This includes maintaining restrooms, floors, kitchen areas, classrooms, and office spaces. The role also involves trash removal, snow removal, and general upkeep of building facilities. The position requires the ability to operate power equipment and hand tools, and to be on call for emergencies.

Requirements

Must be physically able to operate heavy machinery.
Must be able to lift heavy objects.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must have previous relevant experience.
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. in restrooms and replenishes supplies.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
Cleans and disinfects kitchen areas including sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, and refrigerators.
Dusts furniture, equipment, and partitions in classrooms and office spaces.
Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports them to the disposal area.
Assists with snow removal during early morning hours.
Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
Washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and equipment, using ladders when required.
Uses and maintains assigned power equipment and hand tools for cleaning and maintenance.
Is on call in case of emergencies.
