About The Position

NPC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and facility support activities. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, equipment, and related systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will follow established procedures and complete assignments based on both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety at all times and promote safe work practices throughout the facility
  • Perform general maintenance and repair work on facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and glazing tasks
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on locks, cabinets, closets, desks, and other fixture
  • Repair door hardware, clean keyways, and replace HVAC filters as needed
  • Assist with moving, transporting, and setting up furniture and equipment
  • Activate and deactivate building alarm systems and respond to alarm calls during and after regular business hours
  • Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and associated costs
  • Clean, lubricate, and service machine components such as bearings, gears, shafts, and other moving parts
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, efficient building operations, and preservation of facility assets
  • Inspect motors, drives, belts, fluid levels, and filters, and complete maintenance tasks according to established checklists
  • Assemble, install, and repair electrical systems, wiring, plumbing systems, machinery, and related equipment
  • Order and maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment as needed
  • Adjust, calibrate, and maintain equipment using appropriate tools and measuring instruments
  • Operate welding and cutting equipment to repair or fabricate metal components
  • Install, align, and balance new equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Inspect and evaluate worn or damaged parts to determine repair or replacement needs
  • Set up and operate machine tools to fabricate or repair components, fixtures, and equipment
  • Perform general cleaning and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and work areas
