About The Position

Under the direction of the maintenance manager or designee, the maintenance worker I performs maintenance department activities including fueling, washing, and cleaning transit vehicles; as well as maintaining transit properties and facilities. May also receive task direction and training from the Maintenance Worker II and receive assignments and direction from lead personnel. Provides critical contributions to support Clallam Transit System’s (CTS) mission.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate (GED)
  • One year experience in the practices of facilities maintenance OR one year experience fueling and inspecting fleet vehicles and/or equipment
  • Valid Washington State driver license, or ability to obtain
  • Ability to obtain a valid WA commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement and airbrake restriction removed, within the probationary period
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate
