About The Position
This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of manual labor and operating equipment and various vehicles to assist in the maintenance, repair, and operation of sanitary sewer collection, storm sewer and water distribution systems. Work is performed under the supervision of the Water and Sewer Utilities Superintendent with direction from the Water and Sewer Maintenance Foreman.
Requirements
- High school diploma/equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years' responsible work experience in utility maintenance experience
- A valid Illinois Class B commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements and an acceptable driving record for eligibility of City coverage
- If not met upon hire, the Class B CDL must be obtained within the designated time
