Maintenance Worker, Construction Customer Care (Site)

About The Position

Amacon is looking for a dynamic individual with an eye for detail and high service level standards to join the Customer Care Team. This position works onsite at various residential buildings throughout Greater Vancouver; they are the point person to our valued customers and homeowners and will provide the highest quality customer care in pre-occupancy and after occupancy of their units. This position will report to the Project Manager that oversees Customer Care and work closely with the other members of the Customer Care Team.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of construction or maintenance experience required.
  • Deficiency experience; wide range of knowledge such as drywall, painting and caulking.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • A self-starter with a willingness to ask questions and find solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with the Customer Care Team.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with homeowners and contractors.
  • Effective written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Construction Customer Care an asset.
  • Tech savvy and previous administration experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Complete minor repairs and maintenance work such as minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring etc.
  • Receive instructions from the Customer Care Supervisor regarding issues or requests from homeowners.
  • Conduct homeowner walkthroughs and assist with key turn overs.
  • Address and resolve deficiencies reported by residents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Provide updates in writing daily to the Customer Care Supervisor of completed service requests and deficiency remediation.
  • Contact trades to request for homeowner service and warranty work for specialized repairs and services.
  • Perform warranty-related repairs and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and repair potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Prepare for pre-occupancy deficiency remediation.
  • Assess deficiencies reported by homeowners during the first year of occupancy.
  • Conduct one-year warranty deficiency remediation.
  • Provide and maintain deficiency tickets in the ticketing system.
  • Maintaining the Customer Service Vehicle in a clean manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
