About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role assists with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery on the night shift, 4:30pm-4:30am. The trainee will fuel equipment, add DEF, check speed reducers, and learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems under supervision. They will also support preventative maintenance tasks, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and participate in training programs to build technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in maintenance
Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing priorities
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Responsibilities

Assist with routine maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery on night shift, 4:30pm-4:30am
