About The Position

Under the direction and training of a Maintenance PM Technician, this role assists with scheduling and conducting PM inspections for all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, as well as gas-fired boilers and furnaces. The trainee will develop and optimize PM and TPM checklists, coordinate with various departments for scheduling, perform inspections, and identify deficiencies. This position also involves training others on TPM procedures and Nexgen service requests, auditing TPM checks, and ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements. The trainee will advise operators on procedures, inform management of potential mechanical problems and dangers, and perform other maintenance technician responsibilities as required. A key objective is to achieve the Maintenance PM Technician role within 24 months.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass Ramsay Mechanical Reasoning Assessment.
  • Two or more years production experience within one of Eupora’s value streams preferred with an exemplary record for attendance, safety, quality and job performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Some community college level courses in Maintenance Technology or related program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and optimizes PM (preventative maintenance) checklists.
  • Works with various departments for scheduling PM inspections.
  • Performs PM inspections.
  • Performs visual inspections to detect deficiencies and helps coordinate resolution.
  • Develops and optimizes TPM checklists.
  • Trains others to perform TPM checklists and regularly follows up to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Trains others to enter Nexgen service requests for TPM findings.
  • Audits TPM checks being performed by others.
  • Works in compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and informs management of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers.
  • Performs other duties as required, including maintenance technician responsibilities.
  • Must achieve Maintenance PM Technician Trainee within 24 months.
