About The Position
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), located in Pawcatuck, CT has been supporting the US Navy Submarine and Surface Ships for over 30 years. We are a full-service organization ranging from concept development through installation. We support all facets of the ship building industrial base including Engineering, Design and Drafting, Precision Machining, Sheet Metal, Structural Fabrication, Welding, Finishing, Electronic Assembly, and Installations. - Measuring Instruments
- Vocational Training
- Craftsmanship
- Basic blueprint reading.
- Use of measuring tools.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED
- US Citizenship Required
Responsibilities
- Applies knowledge of machining, shop mathematics, and machine procedures.
- Verifies dimensions with measuring instruments.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Will be trained on a CNC milling machine.
- Willing to invest and shows initiative and quality craftsmanship.
