About The Position

Carlex is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our day shift team. This role involves carrying out repairs to all types of equipment and facilities in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The technician will troubleshoot defective equipment, follow instructions from the Maintenance supervisor, and complete daily inspections and preventative maintenance tasks. Additionally, the role requires tracking time through work order completion, assisting with production process issues, maintaining clean work areas, and communicating maintenance status to supervision and staff. Promoting a team environment and working with a strong emphasis on safety, adhering to LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and Environmental policies, are crucial. Responding to internal and external customers in a timely manner is also a key function.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 Years in Industrial Maintenance
Work a 12-hour shift on rotating schedule (3-2-2-3)

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree in a maintenance or technical field preferred

Responsibilities

Carry out repairs to all types of equipment and facilities in a safe, timely and professional manner
Troubleshoot defective equipment in order to isolate causes and make repairs
Follow instructions given by Maintenance supervisor on shift
Complete daily walk through inspections on equipment in assigned area
Complete run time and down time PM’s on equipment in assigned areas
Track time through work order completion
Assist with troubleshooting production process issues as needed
Keep all work areas clean and tidy – including tools & tool box
Update supervision, staff and operators, both verbally and via written reports, on the status of equipment maintenance issues
Promote a team environment
Work in a safety-first manner while adhering to all LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space and Environmental policies
Respond to internal & external customers in a timely manner
