About The Position

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, both preventive and as needed, on buildings and grounds. This role is responsible for maintaining mechanical/HVAC equipment, pool equipment and water balance, electrical equipment, and general premises maintenance. The technician will also assist with room setups/teardowns, camp operations, and snow/ice removal. The position requires adherence to the department's creed for success: Show Up When Scheduled, Show Up on Time, Work Hard, and Smile.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Solid Grasp of the English language
Must be able to lift 75-pound loads
Good customer service skills
Detail oriented
Team player
Minimum 2 years experience in plumbing, electrical and HVAC

Nice To Haves

Preferred 5+ years' experience in plumbing, electrical and HVAC

Responsibilities

Maintain all Mechanical/HVAC equipment, including repair service, preventative maintenance, and coordinating work with service providers.
Maintain pool equipment and water balance for all pools, including taking/recording chemicals, making adjustments, backwashing, filling pools, maintaining heating units, adjusting temperature gauges, and vacuuming/cleaning pools.
Maintain all pool decks.
Maintain all electric equipment including light fixtures, and perform electrical work such as replacing light bulbs and ballasts.
Perform general maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor or CEO or COO, including painting, drywall, tile work, plumbing, and HVAC.
Maintain standards and proper records in relation to building maintenance regarding ACA and ECS accreditation.
Assist with the set-up/tear down of rooms in preparation for programs, meetings, and other functions on an as needed basis.
Aid with camp start-up; maintain camp, and end-of-camp-year tear down.
Responsible for all snow and ice removal.
Assist in maintaining grounds and facility.
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or JCC Management.
