About The Position

Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School is seeking a qualified, full-time Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient, and welcoming operation of our school campus for the 2026–2027 academic year. Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, the full-time Facilities Maintenance will oversee the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, plumbing, etc. This is a 12-month position with scheduled hours of 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than 3 current points.
A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional experience in the identified primary field.
Possession of journey-level certification.
Must be able to move furniture, equipment and other materials weighing up to and more than 100lbs.; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.

Responsibilities

Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, and carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.
Maintaining organization in Facilities spaces.
Consistently communicating work progress or any problems to the Facilities Manager.
Utilizing Personal Protective Equipment and practicing safe work habits, including lock-out/tag-out.
Snow removal and other seasonal tasks, as required.
Assist with traffic control and parking as requested.
Other duties as assigned necessitated by school operations.
