About The Position

We are seeking Maintenance Technicians for our First Quality Tissue plant located in Lock Haven, PA. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production and associated equipment to ensure the highest reliability, proper line performance, and safe operation. The role also involves coordinating PM programs. The position will train on days and then be assigned to a 12-hour night shift. Requirements

  • Excellent safety and attendance performance, i.e. no corrective action or warnings.
  • Consistently follows all known and understood plant policies, i.e. break times, clothing and jewelry policy.
  • Completes all required LMS training and safety audits without prompting.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated competent troubleshooting skills, i.e. can independently resolve, identify and explain most process problems on their equipment.
  • Ability to perform various lubrication routes.
  • General knowledge of CMMS.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, and all measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
  • Ability to operate various pieces of equipment such as forklifts, Genie boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  • Repairs all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
  • Operates all machines so that repairs can be tested when completed.
  • Assists with preventive maintenance and changeovers when instructed to do so.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports findings to the Supervisor or the preventive maintenance crew.
  • Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
  • Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
  • Completes all paperwork accurately and submits in a timely manner.
  • Performs all other assigned duties when necessary.
