About The Position

This is an entry-level Maintenance Technician position focused on performing preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing and converting equipment. The role involves routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and assisting with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues. The technician will also be responsible for completing work orders, maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures, and assisting senior technicians with repairs and rebuild projects. The position offers hands-on training and opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and procedures.
  • Strong attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school coursework, vocational training, or maintenance-related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing and converting equipment according to established schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment.
  • Lubricate, clean, adjust, and replace wear components as directed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and PM documentation accurately.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all plant safety procedures.
  • Assist senior technicians with equipment repairs and machine rebuild projects.
  • Identify potential equipment concerns and communicate findings to maintenance leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Participate in training programs to develop maintenance skills.
