About The Position

Weinstein Properties is hiring a Maintenance Technician - Make Ready for Bexley at Tech Ridge Apartments in Austin, Texas. This full-time role focuses on preparing vacant apartments for new residents, assisting with maintenance work orders, and helping keep the property and its grounds, amenities, and pool areas in good condition. The technician works collaboratively with the maintenance team and participates in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Starting pay is $20 per hour, increasing to $21 per hour for technicians who are EPA certified. On-call compensation is $150 per week, whether or not calls come in, plus an additional $150 for each holiday on-call assignment. Quarterly bonuses of up to $980 are based on property and team performance.

Requirements

• At least one year of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• A strong customer service mindset and pride in your work.
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comfort using computers and mobile devices, including Outlook and work order systems.
• Ability to drive a golf cart.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work indoors and outdoors year-round.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Background check required.

Nice To Haves

• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands-on HVAC troubleshooting or repair experience.
• Willingness to train and work toward HVAC certification if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Complete the turn and make-ready process for vacant apartments.
• Assist the team with maintenance work orders as needed.
• Work with the team to maintain property grounds daily.
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.
• Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.
