About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing the maintenance needs of the facility. They are responsible for maintaining the condition of facility and vehicles and reporting any identified deficits to the COO. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for working with other staff members and around clients, vendors and contractors within the facilities policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards of the State and Federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Graduation from High School or GED.
  • A minimum of 3-year experience and demonstrated ability to perform maintenance, janitorial, light carpentry, work and securing the necessary vendor contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain facilities according to daily schedules.
  • Fulfill all Maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Moves equipment, furniture such as beds, tables, and chairs.
  • May order and distribute Maintenance supplies and maintain inventory as requested by the Office Manager
  • Ability to assemble furniture as needed.
  • Adhere to a work schedule best suited for shift coverage.
  • Report problems, progress or concerns to Supervisor and / or Management.
  • Communicate with all departments regarding issues of safety.
  • Purchase any supplied, appliances or other items for facility as instructed by the Office Manager.
  • Report Clients if rules are broken.
  • Report to work as assigned.
  • Maintains acceptable overall attendance.
  • Promotes a favorable/positive work atmosphere.
  • Attends in-services and educational training as necessary and assigned.
  • Seeks out learning experiences and incorporated new knowledge into practice.
  • Maintains flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment.
  • Reports personal symptoms of suspected illness of contagious diseases to the Clinical Director.
  • Reports incidents, accidents, and occurrences in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintains safety of the physical environment.
  • Completes inspections and safety reports on schedule and as requested by the office Manager and/or QAPI.
  • Communicate effectively both orally ad in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Have current phone numbers for Leadership Team and all Supervisors.
