About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the standards for the operation, repair, and maintenance of all engineering systems throughout the property. This role involves performing general maintenance tasks, conducting preventive maintenance, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and functioning safely, and responding to service requests. The position also requires maintaining accurate logs and ensuring timely follow-up on maintenance requests.

Requirements

  • Two (2) or more years of related education, training, and/or experience in maintenance or engineering.
  • Working knowledge and experience with carpentry, plumbing and/or general maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling, disposal, and use of maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturer literature for the installation, operation, and maintenance of materials and equipment used on property.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain standards for the operation, repair, and maintenance of all engineering systems throughout the property.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other repairs as assigned.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Ensure all hotel equipment, tools, and systems are properly maintained, secured, and functioning safely.
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures; use equipment and tools only as intended.
  • Report and address unsafe conditions immediately to management.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and security of maintenance and engineering workspaces and storage areas.
  • Assist with emergency repairs and respond promptly to service requests from guests or team members.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records.
  • Ensure timely and courteous follow-up on all guest and staff maintenance requests.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned by management to support departmental and organizational goals.
