About The Position

Atlantic Pacific Companies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician for their Market Rate Apartment Community, Reserve at Canyon Creek, which has 314 units in San Antonio, Texas. This is a full-time position. The Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance in individual apartments, common areas, and amenity areas. They also prepare vacant units for new move-ins, perform routine preventive maintenance, assist in various cleaning functions, and help monitor the grounds. The role involves maintaining and repairing the physical structures of buildings and maintaining the grounds.

Requirements

• High School diploma, or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of 1-2 years direct experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician for an apartment community, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• EPA I or II, Universal or HVAC certification is required.
• Experience maintaining pools is required.
• Must have supervisory experience.
• Thorough understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.

Nice To Haves

• CPO Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Onesite, Yardi, or other property management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs buildings, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, pools, utilities, elevators, fencing/gates, and fire systems.
• Completes all service requests/work orders at the direction of the maintenance supervisor or property manager within 24 hours.
• Completes apartment service tickets and logs all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Manages vacant apartments by preparing them through the turnover process, including maintenance, painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning, to ensure apartments are ready to lease.
• Replaces worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment used within the maintenance department.
• Assists in ordering supplies for the property.
• Cleans internal and external areas of buildings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing windows.
