About The Position

Responsible for providing support to Process in the effective operation of the equipment on their respective shift. The Maintenance Technician will be the primary respondent to technical problems that arise on each shift, including process, quality, and production issues. The position is also responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled. The position will also be involved with various technical and MRO Buying projects.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership ability and a high degree of ethical and professional standards. Must be trusted by subordinates, peers, and superiors, and must be willing to accept responsibility for their performance.
  • 2-year degree in a Maintenance Field of study or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Must have own tools, as a minimum see attached Maintenance Tool List.
  • Ability to stand for 12 hours.
  • Requires a commitment to continuous improvement to meet ever increasing demands for improved quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills of both the interpersonal, and the technical side of the operation.
  • Organized and structured approach to the work environment, with strong attention to details.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Ability to handle stressful employee situations, and to treat people with respect.
  • Ability to excel in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to perform in a proactive mode, and to plan and respond accordingly.
  • Requires a minimum of a 2-year degree in a Maintenance field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 70% on testing of, Electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic, Mechanical, Welding/cutting, tooling, and Environmental.
  • Requires a Crane operating license.
  • Requires a Forklift operating license.
  • Requires a minimum score of 70% on the Lock out – Tag out (LOTO) Test.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that good housekeeping and safe work practices are part of daily work habits.
  • Make process adjustments as needed with approval from Process Tech.
  • Completion of preventive maintenance activities as scheduled.
  • Complete various technical projects as required.
  • Complete various MRO Buying projects as required.
  • Continual communication with Technical Manager, Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and support staff to ensure continuity of efforts.
  • Other assignments as designated by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Employees will be trained in all applicable company standards as identified on the company training matrix TR-401.
