About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Standard Meat Company's facilities, equipment, and building systems through preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. Working under the direction of Maintenance leadership, this position assists in maintaining production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety standards. Employees in this role must be able to work in refrigerated production environments, respond to changing production schedules, maintain regular attendance, and work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required to support business operations. Until properly trained and authorized, Maintenance Technicians may not perform work on equipment or building systems for which they have not received the appropriate training. We are people powered! Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Performing scheduled preventive maintenance
  • Identifying and correcting equipment issues
  • Operating maintenance tools and equipment
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Ensuring work areas remain clean and organized
  • Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Following Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Following all Company policies
  • Using appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
