About The Position

Highland Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to be part of our team at Gleason Lake Apartments in Wayzata, MN and 2920 Dean Parkway Apartments in Minneapolis MN. Gleason Lake Apartments is a 77-unit property. 2920 Dean Parkway Apartments is a 55-unit property. Living on-site is not a requirement for this position, but employees who do choose to live on-site will receive a higher rent discount! This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a starting hourly rate of $29.00 per hour. Emergency on-call opportunities are available and lucrative if desired. Boiler/CPO Licenses are not a requirement, but a willingness to obtain one is. Highland Management Group pays for all educational costs, training, and licensing, including exam fees.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident satisfaction through the regular upkeep of the property, including preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Complete Maintenance Requests from residents as received on work orders.
• Check fire extinguishers and smoke detectors monthly and check boilers daily.
• Have a working knowledge of water and gas meter shut offs, all apartment fixtures shut-off locations, and sewer clean-outs.
• Assure the cleanliness and good repair of vacant units.
• Check pools (if applicable) and complete miscellaneous inspections & reports.
• Report regularly to Property Manager on projected expenses as authorized by manager for maintenance and service.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as requested by the managers.
