Maintenance Tech/handyman

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily upkeep, light maintenance, and basic repairs of the building’s facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents. This is a fulltime position working Sat thru Wed--Thursdays and Fridays off.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of maintenance or building operations experience (residential or commercial)
- Ability to perform minor carpentry/painting tasks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
Nice To Haves
- trade school or technical certification preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Daily tasks such as pressure washing, cleaning windows, ensuring pool furniture and umbrellas are clean and available for residents' use
- Exterior upkeep--ensure walkways, elevators, pool area are free and clear of debris
- Maintain common areas (lobby, hallways, amenities, parking garage, etc.) in clean and operational condition
- Respond to building emergencies
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including filter changes, lubrication, and minor adjustments
- Assist with property inspections and vendor coordination for specialized repairs or services
- Ensure tools, inventory, and maintenance supplies are well-stocked and properly stored
- Follow all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
