About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Sagewood at Daybreak is responsible for maintaining the community by repairing and maintaining buildings, grounds, and support equipment. The role works Wednesday through Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with pay of $20–$25 per hour depending on experience. The technician diagnoses and repairs issues across a range of systems and areas, completes assigned service requests, and performs turn-key work so vacant apartment homes are rent-ready in a timely manner. The technician may also help organize and prioritize service requests and general maintenance tasks, and may supervise other associates and outside contractors. Employment offers are subject to successful completion of the pre-employment process, including a drug screen, TB test, and background check.

Requirements

Be a great team player.
One year of experience in property management maintenance.
Able to frequently use general maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
Able to frequently handle and use chemicals and general cleaning supplies.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Technical training or HVAC certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware and accessories, masonry, painting and wallpaper, water features such as pools and spas, and waste management systems.
Complete assigned service requests.
Perform turn-key work to ensure vacant apartment homes are rent-ready in a timely manner.
Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks.
May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.
