About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Sagewood at Daybreak is responsible for maintaining the community by repairing and maintaining its buildings, grounds, and support equipment. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience. The technician diagnoses and repairs issues involving HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware and accessories, masonry, painting and wallpaper, water features such as pools and spas, and waste management systems. The role also includes completing service requests, preparing vacant apartments for rent, helping prioritize maintenance work, and potentially supervising associates or outside contractors. Requirements

One year of experience in property management maintenance.
Ability to frequently use general maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
Ability to frequently handle and use chemicals and general cleaning supplies.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Nice To Haves

Technical training or HVAC certification is desirable.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair problems involving HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware and accessories, masonry, painting and wallpaper, water features such as pools and spas, and waste management systems.
Complete assigned service requests.
Perform turn-key work to prepare vacant apartment homes for rent in a timely manner.
Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks.
May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.
