About The Position

MCC is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Electrician to maintain production equipment and facility systems. The role involves keeping electrical schematics and instrumentation calibrated and current, troubleshooting unscheduled equipment downtime, completing repairs, and performing preventive maintenance in a multi-shift production environment.

The position works a rotating 12-hour night shift from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on a 2-2-3 rotation. Initial training lasts six weeks on the first shift, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Requirements

• One or more years of demonstrated experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
• Basic knowledge of computers and operating systems.
• Ability to multitask and identify and execute process improvements as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills to assess product output against specifications.
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach, push, pull, and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly.
• Ability to stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Vocational maintenance training certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs on production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Support an optimized production environment by applying Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Maintain and repair the facility.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current.
• Troubleshoot unscheduled equipment downtime and complete preventive maintenance service.
