About The Position

MCC is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Electrician to maintain production equipment and facilities. The role ensures electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current, troubleshoots unscheduled equipment downtime, performs repairs, and completes preventive maintenance. The position supports production in a multi-shift environment and applies Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.

The schedule is a rotating 12-hour night shift from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on a 2-2-3 rotation. Initial training lasts six weeks on first shift, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirements

• One or more years of demonstrated experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
• Basic knowledge of computers and operating systems.
• Ability to multitask and identify and execute process improvements as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills to assess product output relative to specifications.
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach, push, pull, and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly.
• Ability to stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Vocational maintenance training certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Support an optimized production environment by applying Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Maintain and repair the facility.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current.
• Troubleshoot equipment during unscheduled downtime and complete preventive maintenance.
