Apartment Maintenance Technician $22/hr. + Quarterly Bonus
About The Position
Village Green is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Savannah at Ankeny in Ankeny, Iowa. The technician assists with the community’s day-to-day maintenance operations and helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. The role includes completing service requests, troubleshooting and repairing building systems and appliances, preparing apartments for new residents, maintaining common areas, and supporting preventative maintenance programs. The position participates in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance. Pay is $22.00 per hour, with quarterly bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- General computer knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience in plumbing, electrical work, appliance repair, and painting.
- Availability for on-call responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of experience in the hotel industry or multifamily housing.
- Experience in plumbing, contracting, or builder certification, or related licenses.
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
- Repair and replace appliances.
- Perform painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry.
- Prepare apartments for new residents, including turns and make-readies.
- Maintain building systems and common areas.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance.
