About The Position

Aeon is seeking an apartment maintenance professional to join our maintenance team at The Crest in Brooklyn Center, MN. The part-time Maintenance Technician will be part of a maintenance team at The Crest and will be responsible for all aspects of the physical operations of our apartment community that includes the responsibility to ensure that Aeon standards are met in each of the following areas: preventative maintenance, safety and security, physical condition, market appeal, customer service promises, and utility conservation standards. This position will also support the general upkeep of the property including regular trash removal and trash chute management. The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Property Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to conduct property tours and inspections: Includes walking through hallways, stairwells, leasing offices, common areas, and vacant or occupied apartment homes. This may involve navigating multiple floors and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to reach above and below the shoulders.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull.
  • Ability to withstand external weather conditions such as working outside in the rain, cold, heat or other adverse weather.
  • Ability to quickly respond to sights and sounds that may pose a threat to persons or property.
  • Candidate must currently have and/or be able to obtain a Special Boiler's License within the first six months of employment with Aeon.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned by performing a wide variety of general maintenance and repair functions including: Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance repair, Air handler and general HVAC maintenance, Lock changes, Apartment turnovers, Preventative maintenance, Installation and repair of window coverings, doors, cabinets, light fixtures, etc.; Regular trash chute maintenance and management, Regular Inside/outside debris removal, Seasonal duties: light snow removal, salting/sanding.
