About The Position

Barchemy focuses on protein enriched, specialty formulated confectionery coatings, no sugar added chocolate and inclusions, and custom confectionery fillings / spreads. This role is for a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structure. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the maintenance tech will be responsible for general and preventative maintenance and change overs plant wide.

Requirements

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a production line or manufacturing environment
2+ years of mechanical electrical experience required
Basic Computer Skills required
Must come to work on time
Ability to not call off on a repeated basis
Must be able to understand and follow manufacturer’s specifications and schematics.
Excellent ability to communicate system problems to management
Basic computer skills
Must be able to pass a drug test
Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10-hour shifts
Electrical experience needed.

Nice To Haves

Maintenance Mechanic: 2 years (Preferred) in a production line or manufacturing environment
Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating change-over.
Performing preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance with nominal technical assistance.
Repairing mechanical equipment including pumps, seals, bearings, liquid fillers, motors, and conveyors.
Repairing electrical equipment including motor control centers, fill/seal equipment, cooling tunnels.
Troubleshooting equipment problems and performing immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Helping with the installation of new equipment.
Providing direct support to production, sanitation and quality systems related to ensuring company policies and procedures including Hazard Material Handling.
Performing facility maintenance and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Generating parts requests to ensure adequate inventory.
Responsible for food safety and quality.
Generating and completing work orders as assigned.
Performing equipment change-overs and production line set ups.
Assisting with facility maintenance.
