About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and commissioning new equipment. They ensure the equipment is running at optimal standards and in accordance with manufactures specifications. This position is eligible for a variable incentive program. The core hours are 7:00am to 3:45pm.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum 4 years manufacturing maintenance.
  • Experience reading and understanding equipment schematics, including electrical, control, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
  • PLC experience, able to read, modify, upload programs, and wire devices.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • EHS practices, regulations, and procedures experience.
  • Physically capable of lifting to 50lbs utilizing team lifting processes.
  • Strong background in maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), and CMMS software.
  • Understanding electrical/electronic systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of tools, common applications, and devices (hand tools, multimeters, measurements devices, etc.).
  • Basic plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
  • Basic pneumatic knowledge to address leaks and clogs.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees, manage vendors, contractors, etc.
  • Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Attention to detail to ensure all jobs are completed in a proper manner and look for any potential hazards or warning signs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in commissioning new equipment and startup validation.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing complex control systems to resolve software and hardware problems.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues or equipment failures.
  • Responsible to participate in risk assessment events to reduce safety hazards in equipment.
  • Responsible to maintain maintenance logs and equipment documentation.
  • Responsible to communicate equipment status as required.
  • Monitor the compressed air systems within the production lines to ensure proper performance.
  • Responsible for managing relationships with facilities department and vendors such as electricians, plumbers, and other services required for facility projects.
  • Assist in maintaining an in-house wastewater, chemicals handling and spill program.
  • Assist in performing inventory stock levels and placing orders for required materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all facility EHS guidelines, encourage communication, and participate with co-workers to further identify, reduce, and eliminate potential hazards.
