Maintenance tech- 5th Shift - COLD STORAGE
About The Position
The Maintenance Technician performs inspections, quality preventive maintenance, and minor to moderate repairs and breakdown maintenance on facility equipment. The work typically involves forklifts, batteries, and building maintenance. Basic maintenance experience is desired, and facility-specific training will be provided. Technicians who demonstrate aptitude may have opportunities to grow into more advanced maintenance work. Highly skilled candidates may be considered for higher starting pay based on relevant experience. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., plus two weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The listed salary range is $24.50–$26.50 per hour, with starting pay at $24.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Have a good attitude and willingness to be trained on facility-specific equipment.
- Basic maintenance experience is desired.
- Relevant industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Complete inspections and preventive maintenance on various equipment.
- Perform minor to moderate repairs and breakdown maintenance.
- Work with the department on building preventative maintenance tasks and learn to repair building components or systems.
- Learn and understand lithium-ion battery systems and how they integrate with OEM forklifts.
- Troubleshoot and repair common battery-system problems, including repairing or replacing cables, connectors, and tips as needed.
- Learn the electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems of various forklift equipment.
- Perform forklift preventive maintenance and troubleshoot and repair problems as they arise.
